The Walter Raleigh Round Half Marathon is run in celebration of the famous English explorer.
There is also the option of a Walter Raleigh Round Third Marathon.
Walter Raleigh Round Half Marathon Route
The route is built around the birthplace and childhood home of Sir Walter Raleigh.
Starting and finishing in the coastal town of Budleigh Salterton, the course takes runners along quiet back lanes,
unsurfaced county roads, little known footpaths, the Otter valley, High Peak, the Jurassic Coast and a dismantled railway.
